London

Seeing people spit on the street, is that what some people term culture shock?
London in my mind, is a city that held true to its tradition of high statue, it is also rich in culture and history. The high society lifestyle that many British aristocrat held, are what most people's image of British and what they are and should be.
The reality in fact is a far cry from the truth. Gone are the days where one can safely assume that someone of British heritage, hold true to the traditional values where all are well mannered.
The modern day British countrymen/women is just about the same as the person from the country next door or the country at the other side of the globe. Is this what people call globalisation? Is this globalisation to the extreme?

First impression

Prior to coming here, a lot of people told me, "If you like Melbourne, you will like London", "I'm sure you will like London"
From what I have seen so far, I think Melbourne is better than London, so here is my story...
After touching down at Heathrow on Wednesday evening, I stood in the queue for 90 minutes to clear immigration. My waiting time at the immigration was spent listening to two oversized men complaining about the queue, whilst earlier they had cut the queue to stand in front of me. The whinging and whining of these two men, were unpleasant music to my ears, in the midst of the long wait. I felt like yelling to them, "STOP WHINGING, YOU TWO BIG WHINGER, EVERYONE IS WAITING PATIENTLY IN THE QUEUE AND THEY ARE NOT WHINGING HALF AS MUCH AS YOU GUYS ARE, GET OVER YOURSELF!!!"
Of course, I didn't as I was far too polite to say that, but some of you would beg to defer...
As I leave the airport terminal after all the "drama", I was greeted with a somewhat polluted air, something that I did not expect at all from London. There goes the first impression...
The next day, I went to Oxford Street, and found difficulty in navigating through the city and using the tube (there are too many exits for one tube station).
Overall the city is very crowded, old, and nothing special. I am still seeking to find something in the London that shouts out to me "Hey, you are in London!!!"
I shall continue to hunt for these treasure...
Till then...adios...

Last few days in KL

Its been more than a month since I last blogged...
I have been in KL for the last few weeks, enjoying my summer before I head to the northern hemisphere for autumn and winter AGAIN!!!
This year will be one that I will be experiencing cold whether throughout the year, freezingggg...
I am getting bored of my unproductive life....I guess I am too used to working for the last year and a half...
KL shopping is good, although I didn't manage to buy much, due to baggage constraints and partly because the things that I really want to buy is too expensive till it is not worth buying, as I only managed to really do my shopping after the megasale ended...due partly to my stomach upset from too much local food...
KLCC is truly a shopping heaven, that is if you have a credit card with unlimited credit limit, if you don't shopping in KLCC only means dissapointment caused by the inflexibility of your wallet/purse to stretch to the limit of the number written on the price tag of a particular desired item. Hence the reason why I didn't even spend half a day at KLCC, a few hours of wondering and window shopping in the centre was getting too depressing for me to handle, subsequently we left KLCC and headed for the more affordable MidValley.

Today have been a memorable day, hence the reason that I want to blog to leave a mark about this particular event. *drum rolls* today I drove for the first time in KL...wahahhahahah....
dont roll your eyes people...for someone who had two accidents driving in melbourne within the first year of getting my drivers licence, this is an achievement in itself OKAY!!!
I drove out to the local shops to get my beloved mee java and coconut water...yummy...my taste buds will never be foreign to these local food.
I have no doubt that I have gained weight afte eating so many mouth watering food during the last few weeks in KL, the list of food is endless.
